Inspired by the architecture of film and theater, we bring into focus the often unseen but essential backstage of performance spaces; thus, shedding light on the inspiration and creativity that goes on behind the curtains, allowing for architecture to become an extension of the creative process.
The roof provides shelter for the performers and the public, while unlike in classical venues, the walls and structural elements remain open and flexible, dynamically reflecting the continuous oscillation between reality and illusion - a key concept of film and theater.
The pavilion can be seen as a solidifying connection between the environment, the audience, and the performers, in which every element has both a structural and a symbolic function.
